Meadow's Apartment Building

Dumbo District NYC

 X

But when Meadow returns home from her week-end visit to Brewster NY on Sunday afternoon, she discovered her apartment door unlocked. & Someone had completely ramsacked her entire place, going through every closet & drawer in every room.  Meadow called 911 to report the break-in.

Police officers on patrol in the vicinity reponded reasonablely quickly to secure & investigate the crime scene with yellow-tape.  Sting followed the Cops inital response, arriving in street clothes. Meadow was sitting on the hallway floor outside of her yellow-taped door when Sting found her.

Stella Brewster

(Off Duty Cop on Call)

"Meadow.  Are you OK?!" (Yes.) "Good!  What happened here?"  Sting looks inside the door at the wrecked appartment, "Oh." Sting ducked under the Police tape to get a look for herself.

Flashing her Police Badge from the back pocket of her tight-fitting, leather pants.  Sting returned to the hallway to assist Meadow to her feet, wearing her computer bag & clutching Jack Black's Records; She was reviewing them while she was waiting for somekind of word from the Officers inside.

"Come on Muffy, you are coming Home with me.  You can't stay here tonight. They will still be here for awhile.  You can leave your car & ride with me." (OK)

At that moment two Detectives arrived. "Sting!" asking her as they entered Meadow's apartment.  "A friend of your's?" (Yes.)

"It appears it wasn't just some random break-in?  There is no forced entry.  So if it wasn't someone with a key? It was a Cat-thief bad-actor type that "Picked" the locks.  Whoever it was?  They were looking for something by the look of this mess. (There wasn't anything broken as commonly found with domestic-violance or disgruntal x-partner cases, only scattered & displaced.)  Ms. Weiss, said she had no money or any valuables inside the apartment.  (Well? Someone sure thinks she had?)  She was out of town the whole week-end visiting family.  & Returned home to discover it. Did she tell anyone about her plans of being away?" (No.)

"Where's your car Sting?  I don't see it?"

"It's over here. Come on"  Sting walks up to a parked motorcycle.  (What's This?)  "What? my "Crotch-Rocket?"  It's my Baby!" Sting puts on a leather jacket & zips it up then ties her hair back. (This is't going to work--I will just drive my car, I can follow you!) "No.  Come on Muffy!  Are you afraid?" (NO!--OK, Yes.) "Don't be.  Here, put this on." Sting lifts her helmet up to push it down on Meadows head. (It's your helmet. You don't  have one?)  "I will Take it Easy!  It isn't that far anyway.  Come on, get on Muff!  Hold on & Don't let go!" (OR, What?)  "You Will Be Sorry!" (I thought you said you will Take it Easy?) "I WILL!--I WON'T RIDE ANY "WHEELIES" with you on the back the first time!

Sting pulled both of Meadow's arms (wearing her computer bag over head & under her arm) around the waist of her smooth leather-clad body armor. "Hold on Tight! & I don't care if you have to grab my TITS--Just don't let go!" (Winking)

After an exhilerating (& Uneventfull) "Ride" to Sting's house aback her screaming crotch-rocket. Meadow was terribling from excitement.  "That was so fucking thrilling Sting!" (SEE--You Just Have to Trust--Yourself More Muffy!)

Inside Sting showed Meadow to a guest bedroom.  "You can stay here.  Theres a bathroom in there & you'll find the refrigerater stocked!  As you know, I have a big appetite!  I still have to go Work-out; I will be back late so don't wait up.  I'm glad you are here safe & sound Muff! (Me Too) We can get up in the morning & go running together before work!  & I'll take you back Home tomorrow in my car--No Worries!"

Sting leans over & kissed Meadow, sitting on the edge of the made, queen-size bed on her red helmet-marked forehead. (Thank-You Sting) Get undressed, make yourself at Home Girl!  You had a big day--I'll See You--Later."

When Sting returned home she finds Meadow asleep on the living room sofa with a 8x10 framed picture autographed to: Meadow SOPRANO from Ruth Bader Ginsburg; Supreme Court Justice.  Sting covered her with a quilt & kissed her head without distrubing her slleep to go take a shower & eat before Bed.

But the following day when Sting drove Meadow home before work; Sting was wearing her full Police uniform! (You sure wear that uniform well--Think So?) But as they approached Meadows car in the apartment parking lot they found all of the windows broken out & the trunk pryed opened.  Before Meadow could say anything Sting continued driving past it. "You want a Starbucks ?" (YEA--SURE.)  Sting stopped & got them both a coffee before calling in Meadow's car in to the Precinct Dispatch & drops Meadow off at the Rental Car Agency to get a replacement car on her way to work.  "Here Muff, a house key.  I want you to stay with me until we can sort all this out.  You are safe there.  Come & Go as you will. Just don't tell anyone & keep your ears open in case someone close to you is involved."  Being in Shock, all Meadow could do is knodd her head Yes. "We will get to the bottom of this Meadow." (You're a Good Friend Sting)  "So are you Meadow Weiss."

AJ SOPRANO

Meadow calls A.J. "Hey--What's up Bing?"

"Besides having my apartment broken into & wrecked over the week-end, while I was gone, up visiting Aunt Barbara. & My new lease car getting all the windows smashed out of it?  Nothing much. (Are You OK Sis?) Yes.  But I'm not the least happy about any of it.  In fact, I'm fucking Pissed Off." (Yes--That's Understandable, Meadow.)

"Did you tell anyone that I was going to be gone? (No--WHY?) Well you are the only one that knew about it besides Aunt Barbara. (OH?) But, don't worry, I didn't name you on the police report, I'd never do that to you.  OK, just don't tell anyone about any of this & Keep your ears open in case it was someone we know.  (What do you mean Mead?) I just don't trust anyone, but you A.J." (I will always have your back Bing) "I Know-- As I have your's Anthony! (Click)

Meadow dropped by the Police Precinct to run down Jack Black's  arresting officer, named on the police report: Sgt. Stella Brewster before she went to visit her client's sister Belinda Black to comfirm that her address was actually his residence of record.  But Officer Brewster was out on partol. So Meadow left her card with the Dispatcher, asking them to pass it on for her & she return again later.

Meadow drove to Belinda Black's address in the pouring rain.  She had lost her umbrella the night her old junk car ran out of gas on the freeway & Sting rescued her from being stranded.  When Meadow exxited her vehicle & opened her umbrella to go back & get into the police cruiser a semi-track blew past them & took her umbrella with it, jerking it out of her wet grip.  So Meadow had to stand outside of Mrs. Black's front door-steps to interview her standing & blocking her door-way from her entering the house.  "Yea, he lives here, sometimes, Why? Is that what he told you?--Arrested?  So, it's No Wonder then, that I haven't seen him in three weeks."  At that moment a car pulls up out front of the Black's house & a girl jumps out to run to the front door past Meadow wearing a pink hoody over her head. But when she was inside she took off the hood & Meadow could see that it was, "Rhiannan?"--Hi Meadow." (You know my daughter?) Yes. Rhiannan & my younger brother use to date." (We still do--Sometimes)

Meadow returned to her car dripping wet to steam up the inside of the windshield.  Now what does that mean she asked herself.  She'd think about it more after she followed up meeting Officer Brewster at the precinct.

Then she intended on going to the gym before returning to Sting's house to wait on her to come home. (Maybe she could make for them dinner from the looks of her stocked refrigator & pantry.)

"Hey Muffy--How's it going?" (Besides being Wet?) Sting asked, standing beside the dispatch desk. "I came here to meet the arresting Officer,..." (Sting. Here, this Lady here wants to talk to you, she was by earlier & left her card) I See that, now. Thanks." She holds up the card to show it to both of them before putting it her top shirt pocket. (For Safe Keeping)

           "You are Officer Brewster?"

SGT STELLA BREWSTER
NYC--PD

"Yes." (Oh I Didn't Know) Sting moves her protective vest aside to reveal her BREWSTER name tag benenth it.  "My real name is Stella, Stella Brewster. Apparently, you didn't.  That makes two of Us! (What?)  All I can tell you Ms. Weiss is to read the police report.  I have nothing to add or tell you that isn't on it.  We have to go to school you know, to learn how to properly write & craft our report documents! (No--I Didn't Know that.) Sting gives her a look. (What's that about?) Nothing,  Meadow SOPRANO." (OH)

"So you found out--How?  So What?  Does this now mean your can't be my goddamn friend anymore?  Oh, don't worry or even bother to flatter yourself, because you won't be the first friend I lost due to my Father & Family Name!  Nor the Last for that matter."

"Take it Easy Meadow!"  Sting grabs her by the shoulder firmily & looks her into Meadow's tearing eyes, (I really liked you too--Loved You.) "Nobody is loosing anyone here Muffy!" Sting embraced her, to assure her. "I love you too, Meadow." in the middle of the crowded Precinct Lobby. (GOOD) "I actually think, it's sorta Sexy!" Sting winks at her, wiping a single tear from Meadow's cheek. And mouthing to her in close proxcitity, "Muffy--My Mafia Princess!" (SSSHH!)

"Come On." Sting said, taking Meadow's arm.  " I want to show you something down-stairs.--If we are done here now Ms. Weiss, that is?" (Yes. We're Done Sgt. Brewster) "Good."
