That evening the large private banquet room began to fill with Men Of Honor. Carlo Gervasi appeared to be the Host with Patsi who greeted their sons Geno & Jake as they entered the lined door-way with Cork. Peering & mulling around the room with the long dinner table setting awaiting a spread.
DIMeo Family Capos, Walden Belfiore, Tony Maffei, John Stefefano, Albert Baorse & Coco were sitting but stood to applaud as Arty escorted Anthony John Soprano Jr. into the crowded Banquet room with Jack Black shadowing behind him.
Carlo taps an empty wine glass: "I believe we all know why we are here tonight. So let's get to it so we can eat & drink in celebration together as Men of Honor.
Tonight
we have assemble here to take a Vote of the Capos to accept the ruling of the
Five Families' Comission to name, Anthony John Soprano Jr. as the New Boss of the
DiMeo Family of all Jersey.
Then Carlo walked up to A.J. as he sat at the head of the table to pledge his loyalty to him first by kissing his ring & giving him an envelope of money. ($50K)
Then each Capo rose to follow
Carlo's lead. By kissing A.J.'s ring
& each gave him an envelope of $20K which A.J. handed to Jack Black
standing behind him holding an open bag to collect the pledge-money. ($150K
Total)
A.J. stood to make a speech before their dinners were to be served as wine was beginning to flow filling thMen n of Honor's empty glasses.
A.J. gave no grovel or humble graditude for their votes of confidence; But spoke directly to their new chain of command now that he was the Boss.
Which he instructed each of them first was to, "Never address me or refer to me as your Boss.--If you must? Refer to me as your Don. Not Boss.
But as
"Don Anthony John Soprano Jr"
I'm not the Chin any more then I am Caligula! But now I am the new Don of our DIMeo Family.
Then their new Don went on to Emphesis:
"Omerta is the single code of Cosa Nostra which is "Our Thing's" Code of Silence.
To break our Code of Silence will be my only Death Sentence if Violated--All RATS will be Exterminated without Question nor Appeals.
All other offenses & cases will be heard & will be subject to Fines according to my Consigiliere's Final Judgement."
All Hits must be cleared & sanctioned first through your Don & not after.
Then he told them that there were no limitations being put on the means that they earn money nor their behaviors. (To imply he would permit the sells of street drugs & homosexuality which had been forbidden by prior Mafiosos) As long as it didn't Attract Attention to the Family.
Also A.J. suggested that they utilize each other's service's & resources within our own Family Member's businesses & associates first, before branching out to other families.
Finally A.J. named Carlo Gervasi as his Under-boss & Compagino/Cork as his Consigiliere. Then A.J. promoted Geno & Jake to be made new Capos to expand their ranks of soldiers & associates;
Although the Books would remain Closed for Newly Made Men until the new Don determined.
Lastly A.J. told the Capos that their weekly tax to $5K & Kick-up would remain at be 20% as it was under the last boss which he didn't refer to by name.
"All Boats Rise & Fall Together, with the Tides that Ebb & Flow.--We shall all rise our Boats Together in Our Family!
& A.J. recieved a standing ovation raising their wine glasses to "SALUTE!"
"Now. Let Us All Dine, Together as Equals Tonight.-- & Please, Eat & Drink all You want Brothers. Because our two new Capos Geno & Jake are paying!" Which provoked a second appause of sarcasism & shading.
