THE
SIT-DOWN

LORENZO & ALBERTO
BARESE

"LOOK--WHO DO WE HAVE HERE ? !"

(Albert Barese Repeats)

"IT'S LAZARUS

RAISED FROM THE GODDAMN DEAD ? !"

(Albert Barese Repeats)

XX

A.J. Soprano sarcastically said smirking after questioning & peering over at Compagino the Consigiliere & his half-brother Vito Soprano as he sat in between them when Albert & Larry Barese arrived at 10 o'clock sharp that Sunday morning for the formal "Sit-Down" they requested.

A.J. SOPRANO

DON ANTHONY JOHN

"I'm surprise you both aren't sitting down in church somewhere else instead of here on a Sunday.?!"

"We went to the early Sunday morning Mass." A.J. repeats what Albert answers as he shakes hands with them. (That's Good!)

"What's that suppose to mean?!" Larry asked glaring.

A.J. stands to extend his ring hand out which Albert kissed. Larry hesitates.

"You Fix your fucking face Barese--Before I FIX IT for you!--We are all "Men of Honor" sitting down around this table--Not Whiney-Bitches."

Larry-Boy reluctantly kisses the Don Anthony John's ring before taking a seat across the table from A.J.

"SO.--What's your Problem?!" A.J. asked calmly while clasping his hands together in front of himself on the table.

Albert repeats: "SO. What's your Problem?"

Leading Larry in to answer by asking A.J.: "What is your Problem?!"

LORENZO BARESE
"LARRY-BOY"

"My Problem?!" A.J. warmly smiles: YOU.--Frankly Larry-Boy you are the fucking Problem!" A.J. answered concisely & directly to his Fixed Face.

"How am I your problem Don Anthony John?!"

(Albert Repeats)

"Well for one? Why are we even having this silly fucking sit-down on a goddamn Sunday morning?!--& Oh by the way?--Not to mention: "Yesterday was just my birthday!" (Albert Repeats)

Albert assures A.J. that they were aware of that! (A.J. Repeats: "We were aware of that!")

& Alley-Boy reaches into his inside jacket pocket to remove a fat envelope of cash to slide it across the table to him. Which A.J. ignored & left laying in front of him.

ALBERTO BARESE
"ALLEY-BOY"

A.J. looks to Compagino to say: "Let's get on with this Shit!" (Albert Repeats:)

"This Shit?!" Larry questions.

"You heard me--This is all a Big Load of Shit!"

"I told you Albert--This whole thing is just a waste of time!" Larry says sighing.

"It is a waste of all our fucking time!" A.J. agrees assuring the pair Barese Cousins knodding his head up & down grinning over at Vito.

Compagino speaks up to ask them: "State what is your formal complaint?!" (Albert Repeats)

"Our formal complaint is that a friend of our friend's & their Family was physically assaulted & robbed. Then this person after being bloodied & beaten was threatened into agreeing to pay a weekly tax."

"Is this physically assaulted person for whom you speak of being your friend's friend a friend of ours?!"

Albert Repeats: "Is your friend's friend a friend of ours?!" (No.)

"No.--So what the Fuck are we doing here?!" A.J. asked pointedly.

"The Reason we are Here is A.J. is because you beat the fuck out of Jerry Basale's first cousin who is paying our Family a tax & vig to us to work in Newark & for our protection."

"Well." A.J. half laughs peering over again at Vito to remark: "You're not doing a very good job providing the fat fucking slob with a garbage mouth with much protection."

"He is an Associate of the Basale Crew in the Luppitazzi  New York Family." (& Miami ? !)  "What did he do to deserve such a beating?"

"Whose your friend's friend?--One Romeo  "Mother-Fuck" Basale?" A.J. produces the driver's license which he took from him to flash--in between two fingers at them.

"Besides insulting & disrespecting your DON?!--ROME-FUCKING-O has rude distasteful mouth. He grossly disrespected a friend of mine's mother to our faces." (And?!)

"AND. I told him to Take it Back & Apologize to my friend.  When he asked who I was & I told him to his response of: "FUCK-THE-BOTH-OF-YOU!"

Albert & Larry look at each other with questioning looks before asking if: "Do you have any proof of your statement?"

"PROOF?!" A.J. Coldly Glares. "I just gave you Fucking Proof with my Goddamn Word!" (Yes?)

"Yes.--Yes. I have further proof by an account of a witness. AND I HAVE THIS:..."  A.J. replays an audio recording of their confrontation off his cell-phone for all sitting around the table to hear which was indisputable proof.

"SO.--As we established from the beginning that this entire sit-down premise was a Big Load of Shit!" A.J. gloats as he lights up a cigarette & wags his hand towards Compagino to retrieve the bottle of rum & a tray of glasses for each of them.

"SO." A.J. repeats himself & paused awaiting Albert to repeat him. (SO?!)

"So this entire exercise has proven to be further telling of the State of our State.?!" (State of our State?)

A.J. flips Romeo Basale's driver's ID onto the table between them.

"As a gesture of goodwill I will return him this. And as far as imposing further fines? I will give this rude bastard a pass under one condition:

"Basale post bond for this person first thing tomorrow morning."  A.J. slides a name written one a ribbon of paper to the middle of the table beside the ID.

"IF?--He agrees & meets this condition I will grant him clemency concerning his past transgressions against me & my friend."

"What about compensation for his injuries & ER expenses? Not to mention the loss of potential gains due to missed work recovering?"

"Vito?!--Did I hear what OUR Friend just said correctly?!--Compagino? Did he actually just propose/request compensation be granted from me to his rude--disrespectful friend's  misspoken misfortunes?!" Vito & Compagino gave an answer of silence.

"Let me ask you a question--Since you are actually the ones' at fault here.

Why was your Don NOT informed of this Carpet-Bagger Bondsman fuck was working & operating & stealing our money from Jersey to pay tributes to New York?

I can tell you Why.  Because I am not your Don & You are not a loyal soldier. If your alliances were correctly inline I would know about this Fuck & after he disrespected me to my face? You should of gone to further bust up the piece of shit & flush him down & out of Jersey?!"

Larry remained staring blankly into A.J. eyes for calling out his Honor. While Albert repeats: "Bust up the "Piece of Shit & Flush him Down."

"Let me ask you this--What would have you done if this same exact thing had happened to my late father?" (You aren't your father.)

"OH--Now--That the first correct answer you have given us here this morning Larry!--I Am Not my goddamn Father:

My late-father was a fucking Pretender. He always pretended not to be the Boss hiding behind Junior first & Bobby secondly.  Then he would pretend that he was actually the unspoken boss?! Which Pretender was he?! I ask you.

But I can tell you I am the motherfucking boss over all of New Jersey & Newark. I am the goddamn embodiment of our West Bank. I am not pretending to be Don Anthony John nor am I hiding behind someone else to be.

Now that we have established that. I have yet one last question for you boys--How many more of these cock-suckers are over here working & stealing from us?! I want to know every last one of them--SO? We can avoid any future misfortunes as befallen your friend's friend.  Why?  Because I can tell you boys I am imposing a 20% Tariff off the fucking top of any outsider that We are permitting & protecting to work & operate in Jersey. Have I made myself perfectly clear here?!"

Albert repeats: "Have I made myself perfectly clear here?!"

A.J. surveys all of the faces at the sit-down positioned at the table until he seen four heads nodding & answering "Yes."

"GOOD." Then A.J. takes out an envelope with 20 Yankee box-seat tickets--There's 10 tickets inside for each of you. I handed them out to all of my Captians who attended my birthday dinner yesterday."

Then A.J. tips up his glass of rum as he butt's out his cigerette to say: "Come on Vito--Let's get the fuck out of here. I still have half of a day left of my birthday weekend!" A.J. stands & takes the birthday money from them & knods to Albert.

"Get that list to Compagino before the end of this week." & The two Young Soprano brothers walked out without shaking anyone's hand.
