DINNER AT BBW BING GENTLEMAN'S CLUB "
XVIII
A.J. & Vito arrive fashionably late--after 2 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon at BBW BING'S Gentlemen's Club for his birthday dinner.
A.J. put on a phony smile--lacking enthusiasm due to his Uncle Tom's death. But if his Aunt Barbara & his cousins Tommy III & Alyssa could endure it--So should he. It could be a healthy distraction for everyone involved celebrating life instead of mourning the dead.
Also A.J. still had the sit-downwith Albert & Larry-Boy the following Sunday morning pre-occupying his mind.
Inside the BBW BING everyone had assembled beforehand to surprise & greet him. Although he already knew about it. A.J. appeared surprised & honored by all of his family & friends that came to celebrate his 32nd Birthady.
There are over 50 guest attending the Dinner in a large private banquet suite with one way mirror glass windows to view from above the public dance floor & bar below.
A.J. makes his way through the pressing crowd being greet with handshakes & hugs not to mention many kisses. Between his mother Carmela & his Aunts Janice & Barbara. Then all of girl cousins & his two sisters.
A.J. makes his way to the back where the open bar & private stage & small run-way was located for the adult entertainers.
Getting a rum drink & taking the seat of Honor on center-stage. A.J. was completely caught off guard when Roxy Rhonda & Neesha appeared together wearing traditional belly-dancing outfits to give him lap dances.
The three girl-friends take turns giving A.J. grinding lap-dances as they rotate & orbitting around him with everyone watching & cheering the girls on. Then the party guest began tossing money onto the stage floor for the dancers.
A.J. managed to suppress his arousel to avoid standing up with a visible boner from his three belly-dancing girl-friends' entertaining performance.
Then A.J. sat as the Guest of Honor at the head table. Being flanked by his mother aunts & sisters as their dinners were served after everyone's wine glasses were filled to Salute A.J.
Once the dinner was finished A.J. excused himself to enter the Men's Smoking Lounge to discuss pressing matters with his DIMeo Crew.
A.J. had Vito Carlo & Coco join him as he had Robbie give them a detailed account of what really happened between A.J. & the Bondsman Romeo Basale. In the advent of their sit-down the following morning.
Then A.J. went out to mingle with the crowd of guest. First Josephine Palmice approached him & put two 100$ bills into his jacket pocket. In forming him that was the first profits from his "Friday Close" number-game.
Josie told A.J. they raised a thousand dollars the first week of their game. She had approached 10 people who in turn contacted ten other people to play. She had collected 1K$ & there was one winner who won 500$--Josie took the remaining money to divide between A.J.'s 20% & her 30% to split with her daughter Primrose for her assistance.
A.J. was pleased to see that Josie was able to generate that much interest in their new Numbers Game in such a short period of literally over-night!
A.J. thanks & praises her efforts & kisses her atop the head. Then A.J. approached Josie's two sons Mikey Jr & Franky Palmice. A.J. tells them he had only heard good reports concerning the two brothers he employed on his small construction crew. But What A.J. wanted was for them to abtain their GED before the end of the summer.
A.J. wanted them to take one hour classes 5 days a week for ten weeks each afternoon after working their day-shift. A.J. had arranged for Sophia & Nica to tutor them to earn summer money themselves.
A.J. will pay the girls each 20$ an hour for their tutoring services which would net them 2K$. With a 500$ bonus if both of them can pass their final GED test.
A.J. would also pay then 20$ an hour for the 10 week span that would afford them 2K$ also. Then he would give each of them another 500$ bonus if the pass the test.
But if they fail the test they will have to repay A.J. the intial 4K$ investment he was making in them. Both brothers gladly accepted A J. thoughtful & generous offer. & Were appreciative to him for his support & belief in them & their futures. A. J. lastly told them if & when they passed the final test he would give them both a 5$ hourly raise on the construction crew.
A.J. also needed to speak to his Aunt Barbara in private to inform her that her late husband's body was cremated & his remains were placed in an Urn awaiting her decision what she wanted to do with his Uncle Tom's remains.
Barbara thanks A.J. for everything that he has done for her & his cousins since they arrived there less then a week ago.
A.J. suggested that Barbara could remain there in Jersy at Junior's old house which would be completed by the next day. The new carpets were being laid as they spoke. Besides she would be all aline if she decided to return Home because Alyssa would fly back to college in Syracuse on Monday. & Her son Thomas had accepted his job offer to be his business accountant & investor for their Family businesses.
& A.J. went on further to suggest that he could have Hymie deliver the Urn of Tom's Ashes back to the Brewster Funeral Home with a cd of a photo slide-show presentation of their family memories for a public funeral service & burial ceromony. & She could avoid answering all the questions surrounding her husband's death to the swarming news media attracted to Tom's possible relationship with the Mob.
Barbara will agree to her nephew's considerate suggestions. But she asked A J. to watch after her son whom she was entrusting to him.
Which A J. assured her he would do. Telling her that Tommy's decision to stay on & work with him was the best birthday present he could ask for. A.J. told her he needed Tommy at his side to assist him in the Resurrection of their Family's dead past of criminal failures .& To forge a new pathway of becoming legitimate & successful with their Family's future enterprises.
Barbara wipes a single tear from her eye to embrace & kiss A.J.'s clean-shaved cheek to tell him she couldn't be prouder of the man A.J. became & that she trusted his judgment as the Family's Don--Anthony John.
A.J. leaves their private discussion to return to the banquet room to recieve his gifts from the family members & friends who attended his birthday party.
But a long-time waitress employed at the BBW BING approached him & asked to speak to him privately for a moment.
A.J. follows her to the kitchens pantry in the back of the club. "So what is it Sandrine?!"
"There's a FBI Agent here asking questions about you & your party!" (What did you tell him.) "I told him I didn't know anything about a party here today & left him standing in his shoes."
"Good Girl!--You did good Sandrine! Don't worry about anything! You know how these fuckers are they're always chasing their own tails. Do you know what his name is?!"
"No. But I remember him from a decade ago when your father Tony was still alive asking questions which I refused to answer!"
A.J. warmly smiles & holds Sandrine's face with both hands to kiss her on the mouth to thank her & assure her that he would never forget her loyalty to him. "Always T!" (Did you tell anyone else besides me about this? Like Aunt Janice?)
"No. I told no one but you Anthony. "
"Good Girl!" A.J. repeats his praise for her & gives her a second linger kiss on the lips & slipped the two folded 100$ bills from Josie down in between the deep cleavage in the front of her revealing low-cut pink dress.
A.J. returns to the private birthday party banquet room to call Dante Greco over to the one-way viewing mirrored glass to point out the suspected FBI Agent to him. " How about you go welcome him here properly "Big Buddha!"
A.J. stood watching from above as Dante lumbered up to the bar & ordered two drinks. A.J. waves Vito over to join him & watch. Informing Vito that the FBI were in the building.
Dante walks through the growing crowd pressing around the stage & runway in anticipation of the big beautiful woman strippers to begin their dance performances.
Dante walks up towards the FBI Agent Gosling & He walks directly into him spilling one of the two drinks down the front of his cheap under-cover good-will suit.
"What's the big idea?!" Dante slams down the empty spilled glass on the counter. "Why don't you watch where you're going?"
The FBI Agent remained silent & only smiled as he attempted to wipe the spilled drink from the front-side of his plad suit-jacket with napkins.
"WHAT?!--YOU THINK ITS FUCKING FUNNY?" (OH--NO.) "I DONT BELIEVE YOU!--IN FACT I THINK YOU JUST DID THAT ON PURPOSE!" (NO SIR.)
Dante glares down overshadowing the Agent & pokes his fat pointing finger into Gosling chest. "YOU OWE ME A DRINK!"(Yes Sir!)
Gosling asked "What are you drinking?!" (What?!--Are you getting smart with me now?!) "No Sir?!"--Gosling holds up both hands saying "I will be right back!"
Gosling asked the bartender what Dante was drinking & ordered him one.
"Here Sir!" Dante takes the drink from the FBI Agent & spit it out in Gosling's face & poured out the remainder of it unto the Agents worn & unpolished shoes saying: "What the Fuck is this?!--Are you truing to poison me with cheap-ass liquor?!" (No Sir.)
"Well--I suggest you get the hell out of here before I run into you here!--Next time I won't be so goddamn understanding. GOT IT?!" Dante asked as he pokes him a secondd time in the chest. (Yes Sir.--I got it!) "You Better Have!"
& Dante walks off to finish his first drink while leaving the FBI Agent standing in a puddle of spilled drinks & wet shoes to rejoin A.J.'s birthday party & the others who stood watching & laughing from the upstairs private banquet suite of Dante insulting & belittling the unwelcomed FBI Agent.
A.J. slaps Dante across his thick-broad shoulders to thank & praise the big guy for his assertive methods as he hands him a cigar. When Meadow stood tapping her wine glass to announce that they were going to take this birthday party on the road to A.J.'s surprise!
Meadow tells everyone who wants to go can leave their vehicles behind in the club's private parking lot & Board Hymies big black tinted glass tour-bus to safely transport them to NYC.
They were going to the SWIZE CLUB next for more drinks & dancing before leaving there to Yonkers Casino Hotel. Where they had reserved rooms to spend the night of gambling & entertainment.
A.J. had no idea of his sister Meadow's surprise extended birthday party that she had arranged & orchestrated without him knowing.
