Matty Orlando is 22 years old in 2004. A decade after her entire family was massacred at the hands of a dirty DEA Agent Norman Stansfield over drugs and money. Stansfield murdered her father stepmother stepsister & her little brother John who would of turned 18 years old that year.

Matty managed to escape with her life from that horrible day. She remained an underage orphan from the age of twelve living alone in the attic of an apartment building in Little Italy without adult supervision besides her befriended downstairs landlord "Nanna Maye".

Matty continued to attend school with the advent of computers & the internet in 1994. She worked nights at a local Italian restaurant bussing tables and being a dishwasher.

The restaurant owner "Tony" took her under his protection & looked after her. He would attend the Teacher/Parent conferences with Matty posing as her Uncle to cover for her so the authorities won't put her into a children's home.

Matty became super-focased with her schoolwork & studies. She would excel as computers were being introduced to her as a young teenager.

Matty would graduate from high school early at the top of her class in 1999. She tested out high after taking college-prep courses her final year & was accepted into Columbia University Nursing college.

Matty continued to work at "Uncle Tony’s restaurant as a waitress to earn tips in the evenings enabling her to attend daytime college classes.

Matty would graduate from Nursing school as a RN in the spring of 2004 when she landed her first position as an ER nurse at a local hospital.

So Matty would continue living in the upstairs apartment in Little Italy paying her landlady 200$ a month rent.

This is when Matty began truly living a dual / secret life.

Matty Orlando suffered from an extreme case of PTSD after the cold-blooded murders of her family members.

Matty was natural born liar. She had lied her entire life about everything to everyone. It was more then a game which it was. But it was also represented her her deep trust & insecurity issues suffering from PTSD.

Her constant lying was a facade that served Matty as a protector & defender growing up in NYC as an orphaned street-kid. As well as avoiding the children service's agencies & others she felt suspect of or threatened by.

Matty's narrative was on the street in Little Italy around the corner from Mott Street was she was a cleaning person at the college that she was actually attending. Riding her skull head skateboard down hill wearing a heavy bookbag to the subway train #1 North.

Then when she was hired for the ER RN position she lied to Nanna Maye & others that she got a janitor job at the hospital to cover up the real truth. While continuing to work part-time for Uncle Tony at the restaurant to mantain her street credit in Little Italy.

After Matty complicated her orientation & formal training she was assigned to 3rd shift working 12 hours four days a week. She was rich! Making 1000$ a week & +50K$ annually to begin.

So then Matty could afford an upgrade in living conditions & creature comforts. She a second residence in the Garment District between Hell's Kitchen & Greenwich Village closer & more convenient to the hospital.

Matty signed a one year lease for a spacious modern two bedroom white & glass condo apartment while still keeping her stark upstairs attic apartment residence Little Italy.

Nana Maye refused to raise Matty's monthly rent even after believing Matty was working as a custodian at the college & later for the hospital while moonlighting at Uncle Tony's restaurant on her day-job 3 day weekends when she wasn't on Call-duties.

Matty would still leave extra money in an unmarked envelope under Nanna's door. Then deny that it was from her when Nanna confronted her about it.

It was an easy--good lie for Matty to tell straight faced being one who built a world and entire teenage life made up of blatant lies & untruthful deception.
