Weathered tombstones leaned like drunken sentinels, and ivy choked the cracked marble statues. At the center stood a peculiar sculpture—a pregnant Madonna, her serene face eternally calm, yet her gown carved low enough to reveal the swell of full breasts, as if the artist had secretly reveled in the blasphemy of fertility intertwined with sanctity. They arrived just after midnight, materializing from swirling shadows that tasted of brimstone and desire. First came the Succubi—three of them—each more intoxicating than the last.
