A.J. calls Vito & instructs him to run by the dry-cleaners & pick up a couple fresh suits for him. Then meet him at the Fuel Mart in South Kearney where Perry worked part-time.
A.J. wanted to leave his rental car off there for the rental agency to pick it up. & Then deliver him a different vehicle to his Fleet St apartment building. Just in case his car was seen leaving the funeral home in Lincoln Park or leaving from Melissa's house after dialing 9-1-1.
A.J. wanted Vito to pick him up in South Kearney so he could go shower & change into a fresh suit on Fleet St.
A.J. needed to ditch the suit that he was wearing when he "Clipped" Geno knowing there would be traces of gun-powder up the right arm of his dress-jacket.
In the Meanwhile: Stella Brewster's first official day on duty as a Detective w/ her new partner Cain James were leaving the Newark NJ FBI Office Building.
They had attended orientation briefing after being introduced to US MARSHALL Kenya Jensen who was in charge of their "Cold-Case" Task Force.
When suddenly a 9-1-1 Alert can across their scanners. There were two fatal shootings at the Lincoln Park Funeral Home.
The two Dectectives jumped in their separate vehicles in response across town. When they arrived at the empty funeral home they found two dead bodies & one weapon w/two bullets fired from the revolver.
Albert Barese was the only person left there (Besides the funeral directors) standing in front of Larry-Boy's now closed coffin.
Stella allowed Cain James to interview Albert while she took photographs of the crime scene.
Albert told the Detective that apparently Patsi had shot & killed Geno in the other room & then entered the sitting parlor to sign his name in the guest-book before he turned the weapon on himself committing suicide.
When Albert was asked if he was aware of the motive he said it would be impossible for him to speculate. As they were speaking the funeral directors entered to remove the casket to return it to the coolers.
In which Albert had hidden the second gun that killed Geno which was left behind. He had wiped it down & placed it inside the closed coffin w/Larry-Boy's well-dressed corpse before the first responders arrived.
& Then a second 9-1-1 Alert came across the scanner that was just around the corner from where they were in Lincoln Park.
So Stella left in response to the second alert leaving Cain James there to finish their intial investigation interviewing Albert.
Since Stella was so near she arrived at Melissa's house first before the police & paramedics. Shocked by what she discovered inside Stella began taking photographs of the horrendous crime scene.
It appeared that a women had been beaten & raped before the ceiling drywall was torn down to expose roof tresses overhead to hang her naked body from w/a rope hangman noose.
But as Stella approached the lifeless hanging victim to take close-up photos she realizes that the woman was still alive. Although she was unconscious she had a faint pulse & was taking short shallow breathes.
As Stella attempted to lift the woman's limp body up to loosen the tight noose cutting around her neck when the other first responders arrived to assist her. Then immediately began to stablize the victim's vitals so she could be transported to the Newark Hospital ER.
Vito arrived & transported A.J. to Fleet St. to shower & change before they had a Sit-Down to attend together to meet w/Raymond Curto Jr at his house w/ Kevin Sharkey an old friend & member of "Buffalo Ray's" forgotten crew.
A.J. wanted Vito to drive them to meet this new old guy since Vito was already familiar w/ the stranger & his claims of being Gangster.
A.J. wanted to interview him before he made the man any offers of employment or reinstating his status within the Family.
But A.J. was also well aware that he was down five top earners w/ Larry-Boy Jason Compagino Geno & Patsi's deaths. Although their recent lost treasure trove discovery of money & gold would provide them w/a present cash-flow buffer he had to remain diligent to insure the future.
A.J. used the Kick-up from the Capos to pay for the Family's Widows' Fund of 10K$ a month he first enslaved shortly after being made the Don.
A.J. needed to add numbers to their Family Ranks not only for income but more so to impose the presence between Newark & Jersey City.
He was still concerned about the ZIPS infestation w/ their Human Trafficing & Drug Smuggling Operations. That were ultimately stolen profits they were generating from their drugs sells inside the DIMeo Crime Family Turf.
Also if the other area Families or Gangs suspected or perceived that the DIMeo Family was compromised or weaken they may foolishly attempt to also move in on their businesses as the Zips were.
A.J. wanted the Zips out of Fucking New Jersey & In doing so he would send a message to anyone else who dared to muscle in on them. A.J. didn't want to just run them out of Jersey but he wanted to exterminate & eliminate every last one of them on Jersey Shores.
"There you are Vito!" A.J. turns the car radio volume up to listen:
