Sophia had sworn this would be different. No black lipstick, no moth-wing eyeliner, no velvet chokers or whispered invitations to the dark.
Just a girl in a crisp white Yankees pinstripe jersey, cutoff denim shorts, fishnets, and a baseball cap pulled low. Normal. Young. Human.
She told herself the roar of the crowd and the smell of hot dogs and beer would scrub away the residue of her other life.
She was wrong.
He found her in the third inning.
Aamon moved through the concourse like smoke, long greasy black hair clinging to the collar of his dark blue ruffled shirt, eyes rimmed in kohl so dark it looked like the void had settled there permanently.
The cigarette never left his lips, even when he smiled—slow, sharp, predatory. Sophia felt him before she saw him: the air grew heavier, sweeter, like burnt sugar and wet asphalt.
She tried to lose him in the crowd heading for the restrooms during the stretch. The line was endless, bodies pressed tight, plastic cups sweating foam.
He slipped behind her like he belonged there, chest to her back, one arm sliding around her waist as though they’d arrived together.
“You smell like summer and guilt,” he murmured against her ear, voice low enough that only she could hear it over the drunken laughter. His free hand found her cup, lifted it to her lips. “Drink.”
She should have pulled away. Instead she swallowed, the cheap draft beer cold and bitter, then warmer as it hit her stomach. He kept the cup coming. Again. Again. Each time his fingers brushed her throat, each time his hips pressed a fraction harder against her ass.
By the time they reached the stall door her head swam, thighs trembling, the line forgotten.
He pushed her inside, locked it with a flick of his wrist. The pale green tiles were already slick from earlier spills.
He didn’t speak again. He didn’t need to.
His mouth crashed into hers—tongue demanding, tasting of smoke and malt. One hand shoved her jersey up, callused fingers finding the damp cotton of her thong, pressing, rubbing, circling until she gasped into his kiss.
The other hand tilted the half-empty cup, pouring the last of the foamy beer down her throat, over her chin, soaking the front of her pinstripes until the white fabric clung transparently to her small breasts.
She was drunk on more than alcohol.
When he pushed her thighs apart she didn’t resist.
When his fingers slipped beneath the thong, found her slick and swollen, she arched.
He worked her ruthlessly—two fingers curling, thumb grinding against her clit—while his mouth devoured her throat, her collarbone, the wet cotton over her nipple.
She clawed at his leather pants, desperate, incoherent.
He didn’t fuck her. Not with his cock. He wanted her undone by his hand alone.
She came hard, shuddering, biting his shoulder to muffle the cry, urine and arousal mixing as her bladder finally gave out in the violent spasms.

Then he stepped back.
Sophia slid down the wall, legs splayed, jersey rucked up, shorts dark and clinging, thong askew.
The world tilted. Black spots danced at the edges of her vision.
She passed out with the taste of beer and smoke on her tongue.
When she woke, she was alone.
Cold tile against her bare back. The stall door still locked. Her cap gone. Jersey soaked and stinking of beer and piss. The cutoffs lay in a sodden heap beside the toilet.
She crawled to the sink outside the stall—thank god the restroom had mostly emptied. She stripped the ruined shorts, threw them in the trash.
Ran cold water over her arms, her thighs, between her legs. A whore-bath, quick and graceless.
She tugged the long jersey down as far as it would go; it barely skimmed the tops of her fishnets, leaving the black thong visible if she moved wrong. She didn’t care. She just wanted out.
The stadium was quiet when she stumbled through the concourse. The game had ended twenty minutes ago. The scoreboard was dark. Stragglers drifted toward the exits.
She stopped at a merchandise stand, bought the last souvenir bat on the rack—a cheap, glossy Louisville Slugger. She clutched it like a talisman as she walked the long, emptying ramps toward the gates.
The night air hit her like a slap.
Wet jersey clinging, thighs sticky, fishnets laddered, boots scuffing concrete.
Head pounding.
Shame crawled hot up her throat.
She found her car at the far edge of the lot, under a flickering sodium lamp.
She didn’t look back.
She never did.
But she could still taste him—smoke, beer, and something darker—on the back of her tongue as she drove away into the night.
