The embers in the hearth had dwindled to a sullen red pulse, barely enough to outline the shapes in the church.
Sigyn lay draped across the bearskin, limbs heavy, sweat cooling on her skin in sticky trails.
The crucifix remained upright in her arms—her wooden lover, her silent confessor—its carved chest rising and falling against her cheek with the rhythm of her own slowing breaths.
The loincloth was sodden now, darkened by her repeated offerings; faint streaks of her release still glistened on the pale pine thighs.
A new chill seeped through the cracks in the walls, sharper than the night wind that had carried the rook away. The hanging bone charms—small femurs, raven skulls, polished wolf teeth—tinkled once against the low rafters, then stilled.
The smoldering bundle of sage in the corner flared suddenly, sending a thick white coil of smoke spiraling upward like a beckoning finger.
Then the Shadow Came
It did not step through the door. It simply was—taller than any mortal man, broader at the shoulders, composed of absolute black that drank every stray flicker of ember-light.
The silhouette wore the rough outline of a tattered cloak, long greasy strands of hair falling across a hollow face. No features could be discerned, only the suggestion of deep-set eyes and a mouth curved in patient, sorrowful invitation.
One arm—long, impossibly elongated—hung down from the rafters, palm open, fingers slightly curled in the universal gesture of welcome.
"Come unto Me."
The words were not spoken. They bloomed inside her skull like ink dropped in water—gentle, insistent, laced with a compassion that felt obscene in this place of old blood and older gods.
Sigyn’s breath caught. She lifted her head from the crucifix’s chest. Her dreadlocks slid across the wood with a soft rasp. The shadow figure did not move closer; it simply grew more present, the darkness thickening until it pressed against her skin like cool oil.
Behind the church wall, outside in the moonless dark, a lone raven perched on a crooked pine branch. Its feathers were blacker than the night itself, eyes glinting wetly as it watched through a gap in the warped planks.
The bird’s head tilted; a single low croak escaped its beak—Loki’s sentinel, spying, silent, waiting.
Inside, the shadow of the Unholy Ghost extended its other hand. From the groin of that towering silhouette rose a darker shape still: a thick, unmistakable phallus of pure shadow, engorged, ridged, throbbing with an unnatural pulse that had no heartbeat behind it. It hung heavy, dripping nothing yet promising everything.
Sigyn’s thighs parted almost of their own accord.
The shadow drifted forward—soundless, inevitable—and knelt between her spread legs. One massive hand cradled the small of her back, lifting her hips so the crucifix remained pinned beneath her, its carved face now level with her breasts. The other hand guided the shadow-phallus to her entrance. There was no warmth, no flesh, only an exquisite cold pressure that made her gasp as the blunt head nudged past her swollen lips.
It entered her slowly—deeper than flesh should reach—stretching her with a slow, inexorable slide that felt like being filled by midnight itself. Sigyn’s head fell back against the bearskin; a low, broken moan tore from her throat. The shadow thrust once—long, deliberate—burying itself to an impossible depth. She felt it press against the very mouth of her womb, cold and unyielding, claiming territory no mortal cock could reach.
The raven outside croaked again—sharper, almost a warning.
The Holy Ghost shadow began to move in earnest.
Each thrust was measured, merciless, driving the cold length in and out with a rhythm that matched the dying pulse of the hearth. Sigyn’s hips rose to meet it instinctively, grinding against the unmovable hardness, the carved loincloth of the crucifix rubbing her clit with every roll. Her arms tightened around the wooden torso beneath her, nails digging into pine as though she could anchor herself to something solid while the shadow fucked her toward oblivion.
The shadow’s open hand—the one that had beckoned—now cupped her breast, thumb circling her nipple with ghostly precision.
The other braced beside her head, claws of darkness sinking into the fur. Its face hovered above hers: eyeless sockets somehow still watching, mouth parted in eternal invitation.
"Come unto Me"
The Voice echoed again inside her mind softer now almost tender.
"Let Me fill you with my Mercy."
Sigyn laughed—wild, breathless, blasphemous.
“Mercy”
She gasped
“Feels like Violation.”
The shadow drove deeper. Harder. The cold phallus swelled inside her, stretching her walls to the point of exquisite pain. She felt the first hot gush—impossible, wrong—flooding her core.
Unholy seed, black and viscous, pumped into her womb in thick, pulsing jets. It overflowed almost immediately, spilling out around the shadow-cock, coating her thighs, dripping onto the crucifix’s carved abdomen in dark rivulets that gleamed like liquid obsidian.
She came again—violently, wordlessly—back arching off the furs, thighs clamping around the insubstantial hips as her walls milked the cold intrusion.
Wave after wave crashed through her until tears streamed from the corners of her eyes, cutting fresh paths through the smeared woad. The shadow held her through it, hips still rolling in slow, deep thrusts, prolonging the flood until every last drop of that dark essence had been poured into her.
When the last tremor faded, the shadow withdrew—slowly, reverently—leaving her gaping, dripping, filled beyond capacity. The black seed pooled beneath her, soaking into the bearskin, staining the wood of the crucifix where it touched her skin.
The towering silhouette straightened. The beckoning arm extended once more—palm up, fingers curling gently.
"Come unto Me,"
It whispered a final time.
Then it dissolved—melting back into the smoke and shadow from which it had come—leaving only the echo of compassion and the obscene warmth spreading deep in her belly.
Outside, the raven launched from its perch with a harsh cry and arrowed into the night.
Sigyn remained on the furs—legs splayed, arms still wrapped around the wooden Christ, cheek pressed to the hollow chest now slick with her tears and the dark seed that refused to cool.
She smiled against the pine—slow, sated, utterly damned.
“Mercy,”
She murmured to the empty church, to the silent idol, to the night itself.
“Mercy Tastes like Ruin.”
And somewhere far above the rafters, the bone charms swayed once more, as though something unseen had just passed through.
